Leading figure of Josep Maria Jujol

Josep Maria Jujol (Tarragona, 1879 - Barcelona, 1949) was a professor at the Architecture School of Barcelona and the municipal architect of Sant Joan Despi from 1926 until his death in 1949 (official commissions). He is considered a "total artist", since he projected and detailed everything. He was a sculptor, a draftsman and a watercolorist. Apart from being an architect, he was also an interior decorator, a designer of furniture, bottles, ceramic floor tiles, religious images and gravestones, as well as a painter and a scratchworker.

He made some important collaborations with other architects of his time, especially with Antoni Gaudí.
